Some Thoughts on Travel

Why travel? Why leave a beautiful, peaceful home in God's Country, Big Sur, California and subject oneself to the unknown? Perhaps conquering that fear of the unknown is the allure...or is it the traveller's discovery that we all really are one, each with the same desires, goals, trials, victories, defeats, hopes and fears? Or is it simply the desire for a change of scenery?

I will attempt to find the answer to these questions over the coming weeks, and share what I find but for now this is an experiment in uploading a photo and message from the iPad directly to the blog.

    FYI....re: Josh's more youthful travels....
    Hi Wente parents-
    I've heard from Ed and it sounds like everyone arrived safely and is having a great time. The lake water is warm and the kids can fish, sail, mountain bike and do many other fun activities in their off time. The return trip plan is the same for now...planning to depart Wente around 10 am, stop for lunch on the drive home and be back to Toro Park 7-11 about 3:00. As they get closer and have a better arrival time estimate they will call. In case you need it on Saturday, below are the cell phone #s of the 3 drivers.
